🔥 2 Deaths, 2 Resurrections

1st RESURRECTION — for the righteous (those who have done good). They rise with glorified bodies to eternal life, reign with Jesus for 1000 years and are not harmed by the second death.
2nd RESURRECTION — for the unrighteous (those who have done evil). They rise after the 1000 years to face judgment and the second death (lake of fire).
"2Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."
— Daniel 12:2
"28Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice 29and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned."
— John 5:28-29
"15and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked."
— Acts 24:15

1st RESURRECTION — GLORIFIED BODY — ETERNAL LIFE

This is the resurrection of the righteous. They receive glorified bodies like Jesus's, inherit eternal life, will not marry, cannot die again, and will reign with Jesus for 1000 years.
"19But Your dead will live, LORD; their bodies will rise—let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy—Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead."

— Luke 14:14
"30…will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life."
— Luke 18:30
"35But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection."
— Luke 20:35-36

"11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you."

"14By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also."
— 1 Corinthians 6:14
"51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’"
— 1 Corinthians 15:51-54
"9This happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead."

— Philippians 3:21
"15According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
— 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
"2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."

"11Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.” … 4“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years."
— Revelation 2:11; 20:4-6
"4‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
